This was followed by the hit 'Spiders and Snakes', which was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in 1974. Some of his other songs are 'Wildwood Weed', 'My Girl Bill' and the satirical 'Cow Patti' which was written for 'Any Which Way You Can', a Clint Eastwood movie.
In 1975, Jim Stafford began his television career with 'The Stafford Show', which was aired on ABC.
