Kazutaka Kodaka had an idea for a detective game while working at Spike Chunsoft. Its name was 'Distrust', and the concept of this game was more or less similar to the ‘Danganronpa' series. It is a style of death of battle royal in a closed environment between high school students. But the idea of the game was scrapped for being too gruesome. 

After he tweaked the game a bit and pitched it successfully, it went into production. On November 25, 2010, PlayStation Portable launched 'Trigger Happy Havoc', and in the first week, 25,564 copies were sold. This number was sufficient for the CEO to call it a success. Two sequels were launched after the first one called ‘Goodbye Despair’ and ‘Killing Harmony’. 

The creator also launched 'The Animation', an anime adaptation, and 'Ultra Despair Girls', a side shooter game. The success of these launches paved his path to fame. In 2017, Kazutaka Kodaka left the company.  

Kazutaka Kodaka is a creative artist best known for founding Too Kyo Games with six other developers who left Spike Chunsoft with him. This organization's objective was to launch new intellectual properties and create an indie game for the staff. 

In June 2020, the manga star launched 'Dream Come True,' the first game under Too Kyo Games. Another game released by the firm, known as 'Rain Code', was released in November 2021.
