He, along with six other people, founded Catamount Stadium in Vermont. Ken was a frequent announcer at the track named The Home of the Brave. He served as a pit reporter for flag-to-flag coverage of the Greenville 200. He later joined CBS Sports. Ken served as the lap-by-lap commentator on CBS for NASCAR. He has also provided lap-by-lap commentary from 1983-1999 for TBS.

In the 90s, Ken announced CBS Sports' CART IndyCar broadcasts. He also hosted the Individual Speedway World Championship alongside four-time Barry Briggs, Speedway World Champion, and reporter Dave Despain.
