In the National Basketball Association (NBA), Kittles represented the New Jersey Nets and Los Angeles Clippers as a shooting guard. Kerry Kittles holds numerous records to this day, including the NBA rookie record of 158 three-pointers he scored.
During the New Jersey Nets' early 2000s successes, he and his pal Jason Kidd were the team's top players. Drafted eighth overall by the Nets, Kerry was also voted Big East Conference Player of the Year in 1995 and a Consensus first-team All-American in 1995 while his time at Villanova University.

Kerry's professional playing career took off when he signed a rookie contract after being chosen by the New Jersey Nets as the eighth overall pick in the first round of the 1996 NBA draft. This was the beginning of Kerry's legendary career in basketball games.
In 1996–97, NBA All–Rookie Second Team picked him up after he was voted NBA co–Rookie of the Month in December of the same year. As a rookie, he played in all 82 games while averaging 16.4 points per contest.
The following season, he set a career-high milestone with 40 points, five rebounds, and five assists against the Milwaukee Bucks. This was one of the most remarkable mark of his career until then. Kittles also had nine points and four assists in the Schick Rookie Game at the 1997 NBA All-Star Weekend. Kerry reached 5000 career points in a game against Atlanta in 2002; however, he then suffered a knee injury and underwent rehabilitation; as a result, during his eighth season with the Nets, he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Kerry joined the Clippers at the beginning of the 2004–2005 season, through which Kittles gained a major amount of his net worth. But he quit the team and retired after the campaign. In total, he had 7,165 points scored, 1,295 assists, and 811 steals towards the end of his professional career.
