On this late-night television show, Kevin Eubanks spent a long time as the band leader and was much loved as well. However, he quit his position on the show in 2010 in order to return to touring and also to explore opportunities with record labels. Shortly after he quit this position, he started touring around the country with his band mates such as Marvin Smith, Rene Camacho, and Bill Pierce.

Being a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Kevin Eubanks moved to New York and had the opportunity of performing with some well-known jazz artists of the time, such as Roy Haynes, Art Blakey, and Sam Rivers.
