Lacey Evans got her start in wrestling as a Marine Corps officer. Evans began her career on the independent circuit. In 2016, she began working for WWE tryouts, competing in Mae Young Classic in their NXT developmental zone for the first time. After clashing with Kairi Sane in NXT, Evans firstly appeared on Raw in January 2019 and started her WWE career as a professional wrestler with Becky Lynch, which concluded in a mixed tag team battle in the main event of 'Extreme Rules'.

On January 7, 2019, during tapings of 'Main Event', she was defeated by Natalya in a dark match, and she made her official main roster debut at the Royal Rumble on January 27. She started at number one in the women's Royal Rumble match and lasted over 29 minutes, defeating The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) until being defeated by Charlotte Flair. Evans then appeared on Raw, SmackDown, and pay-per-views several times, interrupting various segments and matches by strolling out on stage, waving to the fans, and walking away. Lacey Evans kicked off her winning streak by defeating Dakota Kai and Candice LeRae.
As part of the 2019 WWE Superstar Shake-up, Lacey Evans was recruited to the Raw brand. She was immediately thrust into her first main roster rivalry. She relentlessly attacked Raw and SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch. Evans then assisted Flair in winning the SmackDown Women's Championship by hitting Lynch with her finisher, the Women's Right, and allowing her to capitalize on the onslaught.
Lacey Evans continued to battle with Lynch and pursue her for the Raw Women's Championship into mid-2019. Due to Seth Rollins dating Lynch, she lost to Lynch again on June 23 at 'Stomping Grounds' and was Baron Corbin's choice for a special referee for the WWE Universal Championship match in the main event. Corbin and Estrella Kadlec challenged Lynch and Rollins for their respective belts in the 'Last Chance Extreme Rules' match on July 14. However, they could not win after Rollins pinned Corbin, therefore ending her feud with Lynch.
Natalya and Evans became the first female wrestlers to compete in Saudi Arabia on October 31, where Evans was defeated. Following that, the two women embraced each other, breaching the kayfabe to take in their historical moment. Evans subsequently engaged in the first-ever 15-woman elimination tag match for Team SmackDown on November 24 at Survivor Series, where the NXT women's locker room also competed for the first time. Evans used the Woman's Right to pin Charlotte Flair (WWE Raw) after Asuka turned on her team and poured poison mist into Flair's eyes, allowing Evans to take advantage of the situation.
Evans began a storyline with Ric Flair on January 4, 2021, episode of Raw when he flirted with Flair during a match against Women's Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair and Asuka. During the following weeks, Flair controlled Evans, generally by diverting his attention away from his daughter Charlotte, which included participation in the Women's Royal Rumble. Evans announced her pregnancy on February 15, and it was interwoven into a plot on that night's broadcast of Raw, with Flair suggested as the father.
Lacey won the championship for World Heavyweight and Slammy Award. She was also awarded the Trash Talker of the Year in 2020.
