After her parents' divorce, her mother, Adrienne, married the director Michael Anderson, and after that, Laurie Holden was primarily raised in Toronto, Ontario. She is an older sister to Christopher Holden and also has a half-sister. She also has step-siblings from her mother’s remarriage, Michael Anderson Jr. and David Anderson.
