Lori Lee Petty was born to a strict Christian family in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
After graduating from North High School, she moved to Omaha, Nebraska to work as a graphic designer. Lori Petty lived in Omaha for several years before moving to New York City in pursuit of acting opportunities.
When in New York, she took acting classes to become an actress while going onto the streets, searching for jobs to make ends meet.
