Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao, better known by his ring name, Manny Pacquiao, was born on December 17, 1978, in Kibawe, Bukidnon province, Mindanao, Philippines.

He is a professional boxer, media personality, and politician who rose to fame for having won more boxing championships than any other boxer in history. His life outside the ring only served to highlight his incredible journey from poverty to the top of his sport.

The dynamic 'Pac-Man' served as an icon and an uniting force in the Philippines, where his remarkable success resulted in advertising sponsorships, motion pictures, television series, CDs, and his likeness appearing on a postage stamp. Pacquiao has won 12 significant world championships and is the only eight-division world champion in boxing history.
