Robert Oberst is a yearly competitor of the World's Strongest Man competition. He made it to the final of the 2013 and 2018 World's Strongest Man competitions. He managed to secure 9th place in 2013 and 8th place in 2018. Oberst stood in 8th position in the 2014 Arnold Strongman Classic competition. He has competed in 15 international competitions.
Robert Oberst represented the United States at the 2019 World's Strongest Man competition at Tachi Palace. He made it to the final in this competition.

His personal records include Log Lift: 465 lbs (211 kg) and Deadlift: 793 lbs (360 kg), recorded at 2015 Arnold Australia.
