Ted Leo is an American songwriter and singer, while at the same time, he is a multi-instrumentalist.
Ted Leo was a founding member of the group Ted Leo And The Pharmacists, in which he was the frontman and head guitarist. Later on, in 2013, he and Aimee Mann established the indie rock duo The Both (originally formed as the hashtag #BOTH).
After the group Chisel broke up, Ted Leo kicked started his career again as a rock singer with a fully backed punk rock band, Ted Leo And The Pharmacists, with whom he released 'EP Treble In Trouble'. They later used diverse music styles like acoustic folk balladry, pop-rock, and Celtic rock. After many breakups in his band, he continued to form different punk rock bands under the same banner.
The band's most recent release was in 2010, with the album 'The Brutalist Bricks', followed by a tour of Europe and the United States. Leo then started working as a songwriter alongside Aimee Mann, and the duo released their first album around 2014. In 2017, after the release of his first solo as a rock singer, Leo joined forces with Stemage and Rebecca Sugar in 2019 as a songwriter to pen down the song 'Independent Together'. In the movie 'Leo As Steg' ( a combination of Greg and Steven Universe).
