The average height of a Greenland shark is about 7 meters (23 feet) and a weight of nearly 1000 kg. It is an ovoviviparous animal, meaning eggs remain in the body until they hatch. Greenland shark is a carnivorous creature and feeds on aquatic organisms such as eels, sculpins, little sharks, and flounders. Apart from them, it also eats seabirds and crustaceans. Did you know?
