Kangaroo rats hop in a manner that is similar to kangaroos and they do so with the help of their big hind legs. The average life expectancy of a kangaroo rat is around 2-5 years and they are native to the arid regions of western North America. They are believed to be the masters of survival in desert areas and have almost no need for water and survive by eating dry seeds.
