Here, we introduce you to the various stages of a monarch butterfly’s life. A monarch butterfly is a type of milkweed butterfly that belongs to the Nymphalidae family. Firstly, an adult butterfly lays eggs on a milkweed leaf and it hatches after some time to form a larva. The larva, after feeding on the milkweed leaves for about two weeks, transitions into a caterpillar. The caterpillar then starts shedding its skin and begins to take the shape of a pupa.
