Whether it is male reindeer or female reindeer, both have antlers as they grow. Compared to other deer species, reindeer have bigger antlers.

Female reindeer antlers are smaller than the male reindeer antlers. The male reindeer antlers are around 51 in (129.5 cm) long and the female reindeer antlers are 20 in (50.8 cm) long. Their antlers fall off each year and then grow back bigger than the last, every year.

The antlers of males fall around November, so by next spring they are seen without antlers. Female antlers fall around May when their offspring is born.

They are hoofed animals and are covered with hair from head to feet. Reindeer are herbivores and feed on grass, fruits, leaves, shrubs, willow, fungi, lichen, and many more.
