They live and travel in families that include the father, mother wolf and their offspring. Offspring leave their parents once they mature. They leave to make their own family. They have peg-like horse teeth that are small, but sharp. Their teething happens between five and twelve months after they are born. Adult wolves have 42 teeth. Their teeth look similar to those of dogs, but with a more predatory look.
