Sara Crewe, the protagonist of 'A Little princess', is an intuitive little girl, battling her life with fancy reality and loyal friends.
The young girl from India who was sent to boarding school in London by her father was a very popular girl in the school. Although Sara Crewe had a hard time adjusting to the different cultures of a foreign land and students, she survived by creating an alternative world of talking rats and pet animals.
Her imagination led her to believe that she is a princess and she can help her subjects, in this case, they are her friends. Miss Minchin, the principal of the school detested Sara Crewe and found ways to hurt her, however, as Sara's father was a wealthy man, Miss Minchin couldn't do much.
As colorfully as the story, that is based on true incidents, may begin, the author had a different fate written for Sara, soon she lost her father and all the wealth along with him. With the money gone, there was no stopping Miss Minchin from causing pain.
