Good Friday, also known as Holy Friday signifies mourning during the Holy Week preceding Easter Sunday to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on the cross.

All Christians, be it the Catholics, Anglican, Lutheran, and also the Jews, offer a prayer on Good Friday.  They pray to keep them away from sin and within the fold of Christ.

Good Friday marks the slaying and the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus, the unblemished lamb, for our sins.  The cross is the symbol used on Good Friday with a black cloth covering it.
