'The 100 'is a post-apocalyptic science fiction novel written by Kass Morgan.

The novel is a unique piece of work that doesn’t even have the concept of good guys versus bad guys. Its critical acclaim and popularity led CW Television Network to adapt it for television.

This fictional story is set after a thermonuclear apocalypse. The only survivors live in a colony of satellites in space around the Earth. All crimes are punishable by death no matter how severe because of the scarce resources, unless the perpetrator is under 18 years of age. The story hits the ground running when 100 juvenile detainees, including couple Bellamy Blake and Clarke Griffin who are two of the main characters, are sent to Earth to decide whether it is habitable or not. Other characters are Lexa, who is 20 years old, and Lincoln, whose final words are “May we meet again.” The story has no want for the “good guys” cliché as each character fights on even ground and does their best to make the world a suitable place for the people in the space colony to come and live in.
