Between Florida and California you'll find almost half of the entire US population's private pools, which makes sense when you think about the warm weather that both states typically benefit from. In particular, Florida temperatures rarely dip much below 77°F (25°C) during the summertime, so having a pool in your villa backyard is ideal.

The gated community of Reunion is a popular spot in the Orlando area for families looking to be close to the action. At around a 10-minute drive from Walt Disney World Resort and about 30 minutes from the theme parks of Universal, it's a great location.
This Orlando vacation home is luxurious in every way. Sleeping 30 guests in its 15 bedrooms, it contains all the comforts you'd expect, like a fully-equipped kitchen, comfortable living area and free WiFi, along with plenty more extra-special amenities.
Take a moment to chill out in the indoor movie theater complete with surround sound and snack bar, relax in the spa and wellness center, get your blood pumping in the indoor sports court and fitness center. There's a kids' zone for more indoor fun, which contains arcade games, a driving simulator, video games, Netflix access, craft tables, toys and a reading nook. For parents there's a bar, wine room and even a boardroom fitted with a business center for anyone who may need to answer a work call or two during the trip.
The jewel in the home's crown is its multi-level terrace with private pools. You'll find a hot tub and two saltwater infinity pools cascading down each level of the pool deck, comfortable sun loungers to relax on, plus an outdoor kitchen, BBQ and outdoor dining furniture surrounded by perfectly manicured lawns.
This villa in the exclusive Solterra Resort in Davenport, Florida is in a great location. It's about a 20-minute drive from the Disney parks and located about half an hour from Universal.
Expect neutral colors in this modern property, with practical but stylish furniture scattered around the large open-plan living space, including an incredible glass table in the formal dining area. There's a comfortable home theater and epic Super Mario-themed games room, which is home to fun arcade games and neon lights galore. Eight bedrooms accommodate up to 16 guests, and you'll even find tastefully decorated themed kids' rooms too for some extra magic, including both dinosaur and castle themes.
In Florida it's common for entire backyards and their private pools to be enclosed in order to keep debris, bugs and other animals out, and in this property there's an additional safety fence for kids. Spend hours soaking up the sun in the pool area, whether that's relaxing on a sun lounger, eating at the outdoor table or taking a dip in the pool or spillover spa.
Head to Reunion Resort for a vacation rental that's a little different. With terracotta tiles, stone archways and exposed dark wood beams, this fantastic vacation home is designed in the style of a Spanish villa. Reunion Resort is located within a half-hour drive of all the major theme parks, so you'll be home before you know it after an exciting day at Disney World or Universal Studios.
This four-bedroom property comfortably sleeps eight, which makes it perfect for two smaller families vacationing together. One bedroom has a king-size bed, two have a queen-size bed and the fourth has two twin beds. In the kitchen you'll find granite countertops and wooden cupboards stocked with all the essential equipment, in the home theater you can enjoy a movie on comfy couches, and in the understated games room you can set up a pool tournament. Just off the games room is a sizeable balcony furnished with a full-size table and chairs looking over the backyard.
Outside at ground level is a covered terrace furnished with comfortable outdoor chairs and a table set around a stone BBQ. Set just behind is an inviting pool and spillover tub surrounded by comfortable sun loungers on the pool deck.
The Encore Resort at Reunion is a popular gated community for tourists in the Orlando area, as it's within a 10-minute drive of all the Disney World theme parks, and just slightly further from the parks at Universal, and still close enough to the hustle and bustle of Orlando city itself.
This six-bedroom property can accommodate up to 12 guests, so it's great for two or three families taking a vacation together. It's furnished with modern décor in its open-plan living and dining area, with a fully-equipped kitchen to prepare your food for the day. Along with its stylish bedrooms for grown-ups, there are also rooms for kids, with both space and magic themes. In the games room guests will find foosball, PlayStation and even karaoke.
Make a splash in the villa's own pool and add an extra layer of fun using your own water slide. While most Orlando vacation homes have their own private pool, not many have a slide, so it's extra-special. Outside on the covered terrace is a wireless speaker system, outdoor dining area and comfortable sun loungers surrounding the pool.
