Beatrix Potter created 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit' back in 1893 which initially started out as a letter to Noel Moore, who was the five-year-old son of Potter's former governess.

The story of Peter Rabbit was printed privately back in 1901. However, since then it has gone on to be one of the most successful children's books of all time.

The book was written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter and was commercially published in 1902.  This book series all about a mischievous rabbit called Peter, has been turned into a series, then an animated series starting in 1992 and ending in 1998. A lot more recently, in 2018 Peter Rabbit was even turned into an animated film. A sequel to this film called 'Peter Rabbit 2' is due to be released in January 2021.
