Good Friday commemorates the death of Jesus by the majority of Christians worldwide.
This day is observed by Christians all over the world, in the memory of Jesus, who died by crucifixion as an ultimate sacrifice for the crime done by his people.
Good Friday is one of the ancient holidays observed since 100 CE.
There are no theories about who started Good Friday.
According to the Christian bible, Jesus, the son of God, finished his last supper, and he was arrested in Gethsemane, a garden. There he was lashed in his last hours and tortured to death, and Jesus Christ carried the cross to his crucifixion, where he accepted his death after a lot of struggles for the love of his people. Christians believe that cross is their Christian faith. Christians also believe that this sorrowful Friday is called Good Friday, which led to the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

As a Christian tradition, people in Bermuda fly kites, which symbolizes Jesus is rising in heaven. On this solemn day, many people devote their time to prayers and fasting as this day denotes the sufferings and the sacrifice done by God. Even today, most people living in Israel walk via Dolorosa, a traditional path that leads to the crucifixion place that Jesus did a long time ago. Every year in London, a play depicting the crucifixion and death of Jesus is held at Trafalgar Square.
