There is no information regarding when the day first started. However, it is said that the website Pottermore had a role to play in the founding of the day.
Though there isn't any information about who exactly started his day, it is speculated that this day started through Pottermore, a website dedicated to the Harry Potter series, and was designed by the great writer J. K. Rowling herself. This website is now known as Wizarding World.
Hufflepuff is a house in the Harry Potter series. The house was founded by Helga Hufflepuff and had many well-known characters, including Cedric Diggory, Pomona Sprout, and Nymphadora Tonks.
