National Tater Tots Day is celebrated in the United States.
National Tater Tots Day is celebrated by all those who love potatoes.
National Tater Tots Day first started in 2009.
National Tater Tots Day was inaugurated by John Bryan Hopkins. It began as a way for food writers to meet his copy quota, but after he shared it on Twitter, it became an instant smash.
In 1953, when Ore-Ida founders, Golden Grigg and F. Nephi Grigg were brainstorming ideas for what to do with leftover cut-up potatoes not used as French fries, they came up with the tater tot. They chopped the pieces of potato and added spice and flour to them.
Tater tot enthusiasts get together to try out new potato dishes that they may not have tried before, or simply to enjoy classic potato dishes like French fries, mashed potatoes, or baked potatoes with vegetables, chili, or cheese sauce.
It’s as simple as choosing which types of potato goods you prefer when you celebrate National Tater Tot Day. Do you like fried potatoes, baked potatoes, or mashed potatoes? Perhaps you enjoy tater tots or potato chips. This day can be commemorated in a variety of ways with these recipes.
You can make breakfast burritos with tasty taters and add your favorite toppings to half-cooked tots and heat through to make a potato version of nachos. You can also arrange a yummy tater tots buffet for dinner and serve them with a variety of dips and seasonings and then savor the taste of delicious bites. Tater tots can also be served as a side dish.
Or, add extra taste to your burger with tater tots. Toss tater tots and green onions on top of a handmade pizza. Eggs and tater tots also work great together. When you do cook these meals, upload your recipe and photos for your friends.
National Tater Tots Day is celebrated on February 2 annually across the United States. It is the day for every potato lover.
In their natural state, potatoes are incredibly healthy and nutritious, but tater tots are processed, slathered in unhealthy oils, and fried, negating any of the benefits of the potatoes. Tater tots are one of those foods that should be consumed in moderation.
Tater Tots Day is one of the most enjoyable and happy days for food lovers. It is liked by people both young and old. The possibilities are endless, whether served plain with a dab of ketchup or buried under a duvet of chili and cheddar cheese.
People who are cautious of their health and often avoid processed and deep-fried food especially those of potatoes can let go on this day and have a taste of tater tots served with different types of seasonings and sauce available.
Families gather, relatives are called and a delicious buffet of potato dishes is arranged. There’s no incorrect way to serve them, baked, mashed, fried, boiled, or shredded and turned into delicious pancakes or sometimes tater tot casseroles as well! When else can one have such diverse dishes of the universal potatoes?!
