Located in Tamworth in the Midlands, Ash End House Children’s Farm is a family-owned farm, packed full of all your favourite farm animals and fun activities for the children making it an excellent choice for a family day out.
Ash End House Children’s Farm has a fantastic range of activities to choose from, from feeding and petting the farm animals, regular flying shows over at their Bird of Prey Centre to the outdoor giant bouncing pillow, Ash End House Children’s Farm will keep the children entertained until home time.
Here’s a rundown of all you need to know before you go!

Sit On A Pony: Children will love the chance to sit on one of the farms Shetland ponies.
Chat To A Chick: Visit the hatchery where you’ll get the chance to get close to baby chicks or ducklings.
Egg Collecting: Following on from learning all about the chicks, children will get to find themselves a free-range egg to take home!
Shire Horse Centre: Children will love visiting the beautiful shire horses and will hopefully get the chance to see some foals and yearlings!
Tractor Ride: Children will love to explore the farm on the back of a tractor. Please note that tractor rides are currently closed due to COVID-19, but keep an eye on the Ash End House Facebook page for details of when this will be up and running again.
Outdoor Play Areas: You’ll find three outdoor play areas with slides, tunnels, sit-on tractors, and mini obstacle courses as well as a giant bouncy jumping pillow.
Outdoor Games: Children will love the giant chessboard, outdoor skittles, table tennis, and basketball!
Creepy Critter Barn: Visit their critter barn where you’ll find all the creepy crawlies like reptiles, snakes, arachnids, and insects.
Birds Of Prey Centre: Get up close to owls and falcons and get ready to view one of their regular flying shows!
Farm Allotment: Check out their Facebook page for details on any upcoming ‘allotment days’ where the children can give a helping hand on their fruit and vegetable patches,
Feed The Animals: On arrival, each child will be given a bucket of animal feed to take with them around the farm. There are plenty of opportunities for the children to spot some of their favourite farm animals, you’ll find pigs, cows, the famous Tamworth pigs, reindeer, alpacas, and many more!
Farm Shop: Pick up a souvenir to remember the day from the onsite gift shop.
The Play Barn: The play barn is a purpose-built soft play haven, inside you’ll find all the kids could ever want with plenty of slides, ball pits, rope bridges, water zorbing, and a separate area for kids aged under four. The play barn does have an additional entrance fee and is sadly currently closed due to COVID-19.

If you plan to go prepared with a picnic in tow then you'll find plenty of outdoor open space and picnic benches. Alternatively, head to the Farmhouse Cafe where you’ll find a great range of hot and cold food and drinks to suit the whole family.
Ash End House Children’s Farm is open to visitors every day (only closed for a few days over Christmas). Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm, and 9am - 5pm over the weekends. Last entry is two hours before closing time.

Children under one are free of charge.
Children’s admission includes a bucket of animal feed and access to all of the activities the farm has to offer.
Ash End House Children’s Farm is buggy and wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets and baby changing facilities.
Most of the farm is undercover so you can enjoy the farm come rain or shine!

By Car: The easiest route is from the A4091, look out for signs directing you along Park lane which runs into Middleton Lane. You’ll find plenty of free on-site parking.
By Bus: Bus Routes 110, X14 and X4 all stop near to Ash End House Children’s Farm.
Ash End House Children’s Farm is taking all necessary measures to ensure families are kept safe during their visit. There are plenty of hand washing stations dotted around the farm as well as hand sanitiser stations. There are one way systems throughout the farm and two metre markings where appropriate.
The farm is taking advance bookings only so please make sure to pre-book your tickets before heading to the farm as they are not currently allowing walk-ins. You’ll be able to choose a set entry time at the time of booking- this is to ensure the farm can adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Tractor rides are currently closed but to compensate for this Ash End House Farm is giving every child a £2 voucher to use in the farm shop!
The Big Play Barn is currently closed.
