Enjoy a festive family outing this year to The London Coliseum to see the dazzling Nutcracker Delights. Spreading some festive cheer this year, Nutcracker Delights will take you on a tantalising tour of the most classic and best-loved moments of the English National Ballet’s traditional production of The Nutcracker, with Tchaikovsky’s famous score played live. A simplified and shortened version of the Christmas classic, don’t miss this box of ballet treats.

A brand-new captivating production, follow Clara and her delightful Nutcracker as they journey on a hot air balloon to the Land of Snow. Nutcracker Delights features iconic scenes featuring the Flowers, Snowflakes, Sugar Plum Fairy, plus much more. With breathtaking dancers, stunning live music and plenty of Christmas cheer, Nutcracker Delights is an unforgeable Christmas feast.

Since 1950 the English National Ballet has been performing a version of the long-established Nutcracker. Nutcracker Delights keeps the tradition alive this year at the London Coliseum.

What you need to know before you go

  • Under-5s won't be admitted to the auditorium.
  • The London Coliseum’s Nutcracker Delights lasts for approximately 75 minutes with no interval.
  • There are a variety of great family-friendly restaurants nearby, including Bill's in St Martin's Courtyard, Bella Italia, Wagamama, and Chiquito on Leicester Square, and Wahacha, Ping Pong, Sticks ‘n’ Sushi and Masala Zone in Covent Garden.
  • The London Coliseum has a bar on every level, as well as an elegant on-site dining room. All are open 90 minutes prior to the start of the performances. Refreshments can be pre-ordered from the bar with the Coliseum Bar app.
  • The London Coliseum is wheelchair accessible, and it has two lifts, transfer seats and wheelchair spaces in the stalls.
  • Assistance and guide dogs are welcome in the auditorium. If you choose, they can also be looked after by a member of staff during the performance.
  • The London Coliseum is part of the Access Scheme.
  • The London Coliseum has unisex and disabled toilets throughout the venue.
  • Please be aware that audience members must only sit with members of their household. No household mixing in the audience is permitted.
  • Any appearance of cast members is subject to change and may be affected by holiday, contracts, illness, or events beyond the producers’ control.

Getting there

  • The nearest Tube station is Leicester Square, which serves the Northern and Piccadilly lines. It is just a three-minute walk away. Charing Cross is the closest railway station, serving Southeastern rail services and the Northern and Bakerloo lines. It is a five-minute walk away to the theatre.
  • Bus routes 139 and 176 run to Trafalgar Square (Stop G), and routes 29 and 176 stop at St Martin’s Place (Stop K), both stops just a stone's throw from the Coliseum.
  • If you are coming by car, visitors to the London Coliseum receive a 50% discount at Q-Parks. Please validate your parking ticket at the foyer desk at the theatre. Q-Park Leicester Square is a five-minute walk away. Alternatively, the NCP London Covent Garden car park is a 10-minute walk away.
