With stunning animal costumes and special effects, you will delight as graceful gazelles, beastly buffalos and heckling hyenas leap from the stage and scurry up and down the aisles.

Set in the heart of Africa, this Disney classic follows the story of Simba, a young lion prince, as he learns from his father Mufasa about his regal responsibilities. King Mufasa is idolised by his son, but bitterly plotted against by his brother and former heir, Scar. When Scar's evil plans to claim the throne for himself end up in tragedy, Simba exiles himself out of shame. Eventually, Simba knows he has to find his way back to his rightful place. Helped by his two loveable friends, Timon and Pumbaa, and the love of fellow lion Nala, Simba must learn to grow up, save Pride Rock and finally face his own royal destiny to become king of the Pridelands.

The team of designers behind The Lion King have taken inspiration from cultural influences to mimic the vibrant colours and rich landscapes of the African savannah. The show's epic set design, huge cast and enthralling rhythmic numbers create a seriously special visual experience that will delight children and adults alike and engross you in the world of the savannah. A hugely talented cast of more than 40 actors, singers and dancers tell Simba's story, and this beloved Disney animation is brought to life on stage through ingenious puppets, striking masks and the most intricate animal costumes. With beautiful sets and stunning effects, no detail has been missed. Each performer brings an element of African wildlife to life in the most impressive, melodic way, and you'll be gripped by the sheer beauty of what you see on stage before anyone has uttered a sound.
