Established in 1960, and first opened in 1971 at the Royal Hospital Chelsea with a royal ceremony led by Queen Elizabeth II, the National Army Museum has been a wonderful resource for the public for decades. The National Army Museum is open every Tuesday - Sunday from 10.30am - 3.30pm.
The National Army Museum Café is located inside the building and serves light refreshments to visitors. Buy one adult meal and get a kids meal free! (Deal applies on weekends and school holidays only.)
There is a gift shop where visitors can purchase books, home-ware and other unique souvenirs.
There are toilets, including wheelchair access and unisex toilets, and baby changing facilities available for visitors.
The National Army Museum is wheelchair accessible with lifts giving visitors access to every floor.
Hearing loops are available for deaf and hard of hearing visitors.
Assistance dogs are welcome on site.

The closest Tube Station is Sloane Square; just a 10 minute walk away from the museum.
Victoria Rail Station is the closest to the museum; just a 20-minute walk from the museum.
If you are taking the bus, the route 170 stops right outside the National Army Museum.
There is no designated area for parking on the grounds of the museum. However, there are pay and display areas close to the museum.
