The American buff goose is a species of geese found across America. They have been known to originate from Europe and Asia and are now a native breed of domestic goose in the United States. These geese have beautiful features. They have beautiful apricot-fawn feathers covering their back with an edge of white feathers and the underside of their bodies is bright white. They have cute brown eyes and orange-colored bills. Their legs are a shade of pale pink. The American buff goose has become extremely rare now because it is used in most poultry farms throughout American states. Buff geese are really popular for their eggs and meat.

These birds unlike ducks do not quack to communicate and are therefore very calm and docile. Many small farmers prefer to have them on their farms due to their dual purpose. However, these birds have been identified as a rare poultry breed and therefore are categorized as critical on the conservation priority list provided by the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy.
