Triakis semifasciata, or its common name leopard shark, is a type of hound shark. Some other types are Squalus acanthias, Mustelus californicus, and Mustelus henlei.
Shark leopards are found in North America, from Oregon to Mexico. Leopard sharks are not dangerous as they don't harm humans.
A leopard shark can grow to between 50-60 in (127-152 cm). This type of shark is made to benefit from the ocean bottom since their mouths are on the underside of their head and open below them.
