The Bracco Italiano is a dog that originates in Italy. It is known as the Italian pointer pointing dog and is a loyal, affectionate, trainable, playful, and a little stubborn dog.

Its roots go much farther back. Originally two types existed simultaneously. The Bracco Italiano dog is popularly known as a hunting dog and its history has been noted in paintings and writings from the 4th and 5th centuries BC.
