Panama Amazon or the Panama Amazon parrot (Amazona ochrocephala panamensis) belongs to the family Psittacidae. It is also known as Panama yellow-headed amazon.

This is considered to be a subspecies of the yellow-crowned Amazon, which is also known as the Panama yellow-crowned or yellow-fronted Amazon or parrot.

They are known to be endemic or native to the Panama range that includes Coiba and Pearl Islands and Northwest Colombia. The range of this genus is from South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

The habitat or environment of this bird includes both dry and humid tropical forests, woodlands, mangroves, and can also be spotted in suburban regions or areas and around or on cultivated lands.

Panama Amazon parrot lifespan is known to be quite interesting and it is believed that this bird can live for about or life span is around 60 years if they are well-cared for.

This species is known to have a yellow-colored forehead in a triangular shape and the crown is known to have a blue crown or upper part of the head.

Panama Amazon parrot has a black bill or gray or horn-colored bill that is curved.

The body is green-colored. The tail is long.

Not much information is there about the reproduction or breeding of this species but it is believed that three eggs are laid in each clutch by a female parrot of this species and incubation takes place for about 26 days.
