The Danish vernacular has a total number of 27 vowels, while Dutch has only 16 vowels. One example of pronunciation of the same letters in these two different languages is, the letter 'Z' is pronounced like the English 'Z' in Dutch, the same letter is pronounced like 'S' in Danish.
