On National Hospitalist Day, SHM conducts roundtable discussions on research improvement initiatives with diverse hospitalists to discuss skill sets, wellness, and other key factors required to work in hospitals, including hospitalists' careers and education.

Recently acknowledged National Hospitalist Day was one of the approximately 30 national days which was approved for the year out of 18,000 applicants.
