The Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka competes professionally at the international level.

She is the first Asian sports player to occupy the top singles position, according to the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings. The date of birth of Naomi Osaka is October 16, 1997, while the place of her birth is Chūō-Ku, Osaka, Japan.

Naomi Osaka was born to Tamaki Osaka and Leonard François. Naomi Osaka has an elder sister, Mari, who used to play tennis professionally.

Osaka's family relocated from Japan to Elmont, New York, on Long Island when Naomi Osaka was only three years old. Watching the Williams sisters participate at the 1999 French Open motivated her father to start teaching his girls how and when to play tennis. As soon as Naomi and Mari arrived in America, he began instructing them.
