Young ones associate the wolves as a howling animal, and this free printable group of wolves coloring pages resource is a great way for the kids to know more about this wild animal and its behaviour. A group of wolves is known as a pack, which consists of 3-20 wolves.

Wolves live and hunt in packs and are always together. Their pack consists of an adult male wolf, an adult female wolf and their kids of various ages.

They are carnivores that feed on deer, bison, moose, and more. They have clear rules of conduct and follow a structure.

Alphas are dominant leaders over the rest of the wolves in the pack. They are the only ones who can mate in the pack and they get to eat the kills first. Later, the rest of the herd in the pack follows the leader.

Pups of a wolf are born after a gestation of sixty-three days and are born in spring, and the average size of the litter is four. A wolf can always challenge the alpha wolf to gain the position.

Did you know? Wolves are highly intelligent, and are very much protective of their family or pack.
