It is believed that jellyfish existed even before dinosaurs and for millions of years they have been living in oceans. The average life expectancy of a jellyfish is around one year. Jellyfish are invertebrates and they do not have organs like the brain, heart, or eyes. They are only composed of stinging tentacles using which they can paralyze prey. In Chinese culture, jellyfish are considered to carry medicinal values and are even eaten. Some jellyfish are bioluminescent and can produce their own light, while others can be of different colors like pink, blue, purple, or even yellow. The sting of jellyfish is painful and can even be deadly to humans. The body of a jellyfish is almost 95% composed of water, while the other 5% is proteins, muscle, and nerve cells. These helpful sheets can be used to help kids with their coloring skills and also learn some facts about jellyfish. Did you know?
