Pangolins, because of their body structure and diet, are also referred to as scaly anteaters. They are active during the night and are mostly found on the ground, while some pangolins can even climb trees.

Pangolins have strong front claws and very long tongues, which help them to eat small insects like ants and termites. The life expectancy of a pangolin, when kept in captivity, is around four years.

The body of a pangolin is covered with tough scales, which are composed of keratin. In Chinese tradition, the scales of pangolins are used as medicines to treat different ailments.

Pangolins also use their scales to protect themselves from other predators like pythons, leopards, and hyenas. This helpful sheet can also be used to help kids with their coloring skills and also learn some facts about pangolins.
