A penguin is hatched from the egg laid by the mother penguin. The father penguin keeps the egg warm on his feet while the mother penguin goes to fetch food.


The egg hatches into a chick and both the parents take care of the baby penguin. The baby penguin has a gray colored feather.

When the penguin grows old, it learns how to hunt and their feathers moult and then grows into black and white colored feathers and even becomes waterproof.
