Gazelles are thin, graceful swift mammals that can run at a constant speed of 30 mph (50 kph). They inhabit grasslands, deserts and savannas of Africa and the southwest area of Asia.

They are small antelopes compared to the rest of the species. Their height is around 2-3.5 ft (60-110cm).

Their body color is fawn. They have horns and these horns are not branched out. Male gazelles have longer horns than females and these are often curved.

Like other deer species, they have the behavior of stotting, which means they run and often jump high before fleeing. They have a shade of black under their eyes and at the top of their head, around their horns.
