Insects aren’t known to be the creatures that we would like to see around us. However, they do make up for some fascinating features. Here, we introduce you to a ladybug. Ladybug is a flying insect that is a member of the beetle family. The term ladybug first originated in North America. In Britain, the insect is best known as a ladybird. They belong to the Coccinelloidae family and Coleoptera order. They are generally red, yellow, or orange in color and are accompanied by black spots on their wing covers. They are generally found in habitats like that of a forest, grasslands, and alongside rivers. They secrete a type of fluid with a foul odor in order to stay clear of the predators around them. Some common types of ladybugs include seven-spot ladybird, two-spot ladybird, Asian lady beetle, greater ladybeetle, spotted lady beetle and Convergent lady beetle. The following is a simple ladybug coloring pages resource, which the kids would love to color. In the free printable picture, we see a ladybug that appears to be taking flight in search of food.
