Great for older kids and a favorite for grandparents, this tale of hope, love and loss is a definite crowd-pleaser and we can confirm, it definitely tugs at your heartstrings!

Be moved by the incredible music of Claude-Michel Schönberg and leave the theatre humming the tunes all the way home.

And in case you aren’t familiar with the epic score, we’ve whittled down our top 5 favourite songs from Les Miserables to give you a taster of what’s in store. Don’t forget the tissues!

1. Master of The House

One of the more uplifting numbers throughout the musical, Master of the House is a huge, all-guns-blazing ensemble number with just the right amount of humour and charm. It is in Master of the House that the audience learns of the Thénardiers cunning ways and let’s just say, odd, sense of humour and it is undoubtedly a huge spectacle.

You’re bound to be tapping your toes along to this raucous number!

2. One Day More

Another day, another destiny. One Day More is almost guaranteed to bring the entire house down and is a tear-jerker for sure.

As one of the most memorable songs in Les Miserables, it’s worth going to see the show for this number alone. As all characters and storylines intertwine in this relentlessly emotional number, a palpable sense of hope and optimism can be felt and it’s simply unmissable.

3. Do You Hear The People Sing

Well if you haven’t already, you certainly will when you book tickets to see Les Miserables with Kidadl (plus, tickets start from a not-so-Miserable £31.60)!

In our opinion, Do You Hear The People Sing has one of the best lyrics of all time - ‘Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise’ - a heart-warming message that is bound to stay with you for life!

Become immersed in the French revolution as the barricade comes to life in front of your very eyes whilst you really do hear the people sing.

4. A Castle On A Cloud

Sung by the irresistibly cute young Cosette, this song just had to make it into our top five! She’ll definitely melt your hearts and any youngsters in the audience are bound to be singing this for weeks. You’ll instantly be moved as this little girl enchants you with her sweet voice and endearing story.

5. I Dreamed A Dream

You might have heard the likes of Anne Hathaway or Susan Boyle belt this number out but nothing beats experiencing it live on stage at the immense Queen’s Theatre. I Dreamed a Dream is an absolute show-stopper, bound to tug at your heartstrings and take you on an emotional roller-coaster as you learn of Fantine’s hardships.

We only dream of seeing it again!
