The popular movie was directed by Jonathan Lynn and produced by Debra Hill. Based on the popular board game, Cluedo, 'Clue' was a comedy-mystery movie, beginning at a dinner party hosted by Mr. Boddy, played by Lee Ving.

The movie is all about a murder mystery. In keeping with the board game, the movie 'Clue' has three possible endings, and different movie theaters where the movie was released received a random choice of the three different endings. This means that there are three different guilty parties in 'Clue'. Spoiler alert! It has been suggested that the most plausible of the three endings places Miss Scarlett and Yvette as the guilty party, but ultimately it depends which version of the film you watch.

The ensemble cast of the movie included popular names like Christopher Lloyd as Prof. Plum, Lesley Ann Warren as Miss Scarlet, Michael Mckean as Mr. Green, Eileen Brennan as Mrs. Peacock, and Martin Mull as Col. Mustard. Though 'Clue' did not perform exceedingly well at the box office, it is one of Jonathan Lynn’s most acclaimed movies as fans loved buying the DVD to watch at home, giving them the chance to watch all three endings.
