'Galaxy Quest' is a humorous parody of the renowned 'Star Trek' franchise.
Directed by Dean Parisot in 1999, this sci-fi comedy film was created as a spoof and an homage to sci-fi series and films. This movie stars Alan Rickman, Sam Rockwell, Tim Allen, Tony Shalhoub, Daryl Mitchell, and Sigourney Weaver.
When aliens mistake a Sci-fi show's casts on-screen adventures for real events, the cast must now help aliens overthrow the space overlords and restore peace in the solar system. What unfolds, is a hilarious depiction of unique interstellar conflict and a compelling story. This film won major accolades like the Nebula Award for Best Script, Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, and also secured a place in people's hearts and achieved cult status. Such is the charm of 'Galaxy Quest' that at the 2013 Star Trek convention, it was ranked as the seventh greatest' Star Trek' movie. Not bad for a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously.
While some movie snobs might argue that there's no place for a reboot such as 'Galaxy Quest' on such a list, most fans have come around to the fact that the 'Galaxy Quest' captures the essence of the 'Star Trek' franchise better than the new 'Star Trek' franchise. The movie is made in the same style as that of 'Star Trek' and this propelled 'Galaxy Quest' became 'America's Number 1 Science Fiction Cult Classic'. Alan Rickman, Sam Rockwell, Tim Allen, Tony Shalhoub, Daryl Mitchell, and Sigourney Weaver do utmost justice to their hilarious characters and played their respective roles with absolute perfection. There are still rumours of a 'Galaxy Quest 2', as the first movie made good money, so we will have to wait and see. With moments of absurd humor in a genre that tries to convince the audience of its realism, 'Galaxy Quest' balances the fine line between parody and true artistic genius in a movie that will be around for just as long as its legendary quotes. In this movie, you'll find 'Galaxy Quest' Alan Rickman quotes, Sigourney Weaver quotes, and other quotes. We hope you like them.

Tim Allen as Jason Nesmith always keeps us at the edge of our seats with his dialogues. The hilarious Allen plays the main star of the fictitious cult series 'Galaxy Quest' which gained widespread popularity in the '80s. However, Allen's character of Jason Nesmith is still one of the most sought-after stars years after the show's demise. This makes him an object of envy and the rest of the cast of that fictitious show hate him with all their heart. Trouble starts when some mysterious people come to meet Jason Nesmith at a fan convention, who think that the series paints a very accurate picture about alien life. We wouldn't want to spoil things any further, but we are sure that these famous quotes by Jason Nesmith will make you laugh.
