Baby boomers are often called boomers and are the generation after the silent generation and before Gen X.
They are children born between 1946 and 1964. All of them are babies born after World War II when there was a boom.
The term boomer is also used outside the USA, but the reasons to call them that might differ. They are considered the children of the greatest generation or the silent generation and are mainly parents of millennials or late-gen X's. They are sometimes the parents of older Generation Z people as well. Read some quotes involving the baby boomers in this article.

A home you won in a genetic lottery, I might add, sheerly by dint of your having been born at the right time in history? You'd last about ten minutes if you were my age these days."
"And I apologize to all of you who are the same age as my grandchildren. And many of you reading this are the same age as my grandchildren. They, like you, are being royally shafted and lied to by our Baby Boomer corporations and government."
-Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
