We expect kids to become better versions of their parents, rather than repeating their faults. And when they fail to do so, they may feel insecure and even become rebels. The quotes shared in this article should inspire both kids and adults to live their best lives on planet earth as learnt from Jason Todd.
Jason Todd returns to Gotham City as a mysterious vigilante and Batman plans to find out who he is.
Batman is a renowned character in DC Comics because he could take away all the bad guys and stop crime in the city. Jason started out as an orphan. Batman found and trained him to succeed Dick Grayson as second Robin.
Batman wanted Robin to be like him but things didn't work as planned because the Joker killed him. However, Robin was resurrected in another costume as the Red Hood and came back to Gotham, but he was no longer interested in saving thousands who've suffered at the hands of criminals. Jason is of Hispanic heritage and is known for his martial art. Dick Grayson created this character as a sidekick of Batman in 1983.
Read these quotes from Jason in his conversation with Batman.
"Hard to forget that night, huh? In a way, Batman, this was the site of your first great failure. Maybe your greatest, but certainly not your last, right? Ah, memories."
- 'Batman: Under The Red Hood', Judd Winick, 2010.
"Bruce, I forgive you for not saving me. But why, why on God's Earth..." (kicks open a door, revealing the Joker.) "...IS HE STILL ALIVE?!?."
- 'Batman: Under The Red Hood', Judd Winick, 2010.
"Batman: You don't understand. I don't think you've ever understood.
Jason Todd: What? That your moral code just won't allow for that? It's too hard to cross that line?"
- 'Batman: Under The Red Hood', Judd Winick, 2010.
"Batman: Stand down, Robin!
Arkham Knight: DON'T CALL ME THAT! THAT'S NOT WHO I AM!"
- 'Batman: Arkham Knight', Sefton Hill, 2015.
"Arkham Knight: Turn around.
Batman: Who are you?
Arkham Knight: You really have no idea...
Jason Todd: ...do you, Bruce?
Batman: Jason? But... you're dead.
The Joker: Let's not fall out here, Bats. I might have told you a teeny, tiny little lie. But come on, look at the boy!"
- 'Batman: Arkham Knight', Sefton Hill, 2015.
Read these quotes from Jason Todd's conversation with the Joker.
"Red Hood: I wouldn't undersell it. It took a lot of work to bring about our reunion.
Joker: Reunion? Have we met before?
Red Hood: Yes, we have."
- 'Batman: Under The Red Hood', Judd Winick, 2010.
"Joker: Don't know, I just wanted your attention!
Red Hood: You've always had my attention. But what I really wanted was an audience with you!
Joker: I'm sorry, that seems to imply that YOU organized this little flambé."
- 'Batman: Under The Red Hood', Judd Winick, 2010.
"You'll never win, Joker. I'll always be here to stop you."
- 'Batman: Arkham Knight', Game Over Lines, 2015.
Here are some of Jason Todd quotes from DC Comics.
"So here I am. A 'hero'? A 'villain'? I'm the guy who can do the things that Batman can't... become someone that Batman won't. Am I the man Bruce wanted me to become? Not even close. But someday soon he'll realize... I'm exactly who he needs."
- 'Red Hood And The Outlaws: Rebirth', Volume 11, Scott Lobdell, 2016.
“Oh, my goodness gracious! I’ve been bamboozled!”
- 'Batman: Under The Red Hood', Judd Winick, 2010.
"Really? You don't think I understand what it's like to be abandoned? Forgotten? To be the Robin nobody trusts?"
- 'Batman & Robin Eternal', Volume 1 #7, 2015.
"You're no hero, no savior. You failed me, and now you're going to fail Gotham the same way!"
- 'Batman: Arkham Knight', Sefton Hill, 2015.
“Still protecting the weak and defenseless. That’s what I like about you. Predictable. That’s why you’re going to win. We know your moves before you do. We know how you think.”
- 'Batman: Arkham Knight', Sefton Hill, 2015.
"I can still hear him LAUGHING! HE’S STILL IN MY HEAD!"
- 'Batman: Arkham Knight', Sefton Hill, 2015.
"Arkham Knight: No, no, no, no. You're supposed to keep me talking. Play for time. Wait for Batman. That's what he taught you, right?
Oracle: I've got nothing to say to you.
Arkham Knight: I talked for hours. 'Cause I knew, right? Batman was on his way to save me."
- 'Batman: Arkham Knight', Sefton Hill, 2015.
Here are some sarcastic quotes from Jason Todd
"I was going to ask if it came in black, but I thought, you'd just be jealous."
- 'Batman: Arkham Knight', Sefton Hill, 2015.
"Tell me what bothers you more? that your greatest failure has returned from the grave, or that I've become a better Batman than you?
- 'Batman: Under The Red Hood', Judd Winick, 2010.
“Hey, it's going to be hard to learn a great many things about me, but one I'll you for free...
I am no one's son.”
- 'Batman: Under The Red Hood', Judd Winick, 2010.
