The comic strip 'The Boondocks' was written by Aaron Mc Gruder and is the basis for the American sitcom series that is also called 'The Boondocks'.

The first episode of 'The Boondocks' aired on 6 November 2005, titled 'Garden Party'. Huey is a highly-skilled martial artist and he was named after Huey P. Newton, one of the founders of the Black Panther Party.
