Pele is considered the greatest soccer player ever to walk the planet. Born in Três Corações, in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Pele started out playing in the streets with other children from his hometown. But at 16, Pele scored the first goal for Brazil. At 17 years old, he drove his group to triumph in the World Cup, scoring six goals. Pele proceeded to play in three more World Cups, winning two of these. Throughout his career he has played 1,360 games and scored 1,280 goals, an impressive average of nearly one each game!
