W.E.B Du Bois was an American Sociologist and professor of history and economics during the late 19th century and early 20th century.

He became a civil rights activist and was one of the first African Americans to earn a doctorate at Harvard University. Du Bois was among the founders of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

He worked for full civil rights and political representation of the colored people and wanted all black people to receive basic education and economic opportunities. Du Bois had written many books and journals and was famous for his quotes on civil rights, history, and sociology.
