National Military Brats Day was celebrated for the first time in 2020. The aim of this day is to encourage social networks across the country to connect service people and their families.
Military Brats, Inc. is credited with starting this national day. This day aims to encourage service connections between military children.
To appreciate and acknowledge the military kids, the founding committee members tried to convince the US Congress to declare this day a national holiday.
This day commemorates the sacrifices of all the military kids for the nation both in the past and present. The lives of the children happen to be challenging as not only their parents are moving, but these kids have to move a lot depending on their military bases.
Families can watch military films together, even dress up and have a themed party. You can also volunteer and support military organizations and campaigns.

Another common perception regarding military youngsters is that they pay for their childhoods by being confined to military bases and attending Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS). However, whereas stationed stateside, eight out of ten military brats live off post and participate in public and personal schools throughout the US.
There are various other events related to National Military Brats Day celebrated across the US, such as Army Day on May 4, Navy Day on June 10, and Air Force Day on March 28.
Military children are brought up rigorously. As a result, they are more disciplined and punctual than non-military kids. There is a lot that we can learn from them.
